RICE KRISPIES TREATS

TOP Reviews:

This is a standard rice crispy treat recipe with lots of potential. I warmed up some ready made chocolate frosting and drizzled it over the top of my marshmallow treats. In the future, I might add chocolate candies or butterscotch chips, but they’re fine without those too. Also, I like my marshmallow treats a little thicker, so I didn’t quite fill up a 13 X 9 pan.

MMMMMMMMMM i LOVE this recipe i melted 1/2 cup of dark chocolate and i added some of them on the top of the Marshmallow Treats they looked so delicious.

Awesome. I usually just use a 10.5 oz bag of mini marshmallows. I don’t butter my pan or utensils, I just spray with buttered flavored cooking spray. We love these.

I made these with Cheerios rather than the Rice Krispies and added a little bit of vanilla extract (about 1 Tbsp) for a 4th of July family party. Hubby tried a few out (lol) and LOVED them!!!

To make these treats special for Christmas, add green food coloring into the melting marshmallows. After adding the rice crispies, form the treat into palm sized wreaths. Place cinnamon hearts around the wreath for decoration. After all of the wreaths are decorated, using red icing, form a small bow at the neck of each wreath. Thank you for posting feedback! This was soooo delicious! I made a bigger quantity, using 10 c rice crispies and almost 10 cup marshmallows with a stick of butter. I think the little “extra” marshmallows were wonderful for it. Husband loved it and it disappeared in less than 3 days!

I love marshmallow treats! The only change I made to the recipe was that I used Smart Balance Light butter instead of real butter because it’s healthier. It still tastes the same as real butter though.

INGREDIENTS

5 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or something similar)
